    Global map of landmines & update to conflict map launched

    To assist in raising awareness of this and to coincide with the International Day of Peace on 21 September, Maplecroft has created an interactive ‘Global map of landmine risk 2005’. This research resource contains key information regarding countries & perceived landmine risk, together with a framework for action that highlights how certain organisations have minimised the risk encountered through engagement programmes.

    Global map of tuberculosis launched

    To coincide with the UN World Summit 2005 being held in New York, 14–16 September, Maplecroft has released its interactive ‘Global map of tuberculosis 2005’. This expert piece of research provides key information regarding the global tuberculosis (TB) epidemic, including the major risks TB poses to business and the benefits for business of engagement in activities calculated to reduce the burden of TB in countries in which they operate.

    Maplecroft has created an interactive ‘Global map of oil and gas 2005’. This timely and expert piece of research provides key information regarding countries’ reserve and production levels, together with an in-depth analysis of the major risks faced by the industry; enabling its audience to gain a better perspective on the need to balance opportunities with a growing range of new risks.     Interactive global map of climate change

    To coincide with the G8 Summit being held on the 6–8th of July, Maplecroft has created an interactive ‘Global map of climate change 2005’. This web-based map is an innovative awareness-raising and management tool for business. It forms part of the Maplecroft ‘Global maps’ series – a vast resource of data and analysis covering 20 sustainable development issues, including HIV/AIDS, human rights, corruption, hunger, poverty, displacement, political risk, conflict risk, child rights, water and digital inclusion. The ‘Global maps’ series includes both hard copy and interactive web-based maps.

    Interactive global map of aid & debt

    In the run-up to the G8 Summit, Maplecroft today releases the ‘Global map of aid and debt’, an interactive, web-based tool that features the latest data on official development assistance and debt, as well as analysis of the issues. Aid and debt are just two of the issues covered in the ‘Global map of development finance’ which also features other important sources of development finance, including trade, foreign direct investment and microfinance.
