The successful applicant will join our communications team in Bath. The work will involve branding, designing corporate publications, sustainability and financial reports and creating print-ready artwork both in-house and for blue chip companies. You will be joining a small, highly-skilled and competent team working in a fast-moving, customer-driven environment.

You will need to be creative, comfortable working to tight deadlines, with a proven track record of designing and developing new concepts for external corporate publications.

Attributes required to succeed in this role include:

  • Adobe Creative Suite 3 (including InDesign) Microsoft Office, QuarkXpress
  • Excellent portfolio of design work
  • Excellent typography skills
  • Good understanding of corporate branding, CSR reporting and other corporate publications
  • Knowledge of the print production process and designing for web production
  • Experience designing corporate annual and sustainability reports an advantage

Ideal for someone with at least 2 years or more experience.

The Software team is responsible for Maplecroft's information delivery infrastructure:

  • managing and developing existing services such as Maplecroft Maps, Ethical Insight and Global Risks
  • prototyping, developing and deploying new services
  • exploring new technologies and applications
  • developing the data-gathering tools and research database behind all of Maplecroft’s services

We are currently looking specifically for Python developers, but we are always happy to consider applications from experienced web designers and developers who can contribute to Maplecroft's success.

Experienced and efficient researchers needed for Maplecroft Maps – both online and printed products. Our maps analyse global social, economic, environmental and political issues and their significance to business and society.

Applicants should have a PhD relating to international development, health (especially HIV/AIDS, malaria, TB), international relations, human rights, the environment (preferably with GIS experience), mining, energy, consumer goods, retail sales, or financial services. Those with a Masters degree and relevant work experience will also be considered. A global outlook and relevant international working experience, preferably in a developing country, is essential for these positions.
